Media Coverage at TechFest 2018 for Pothole Mapper

Ongoing research on mapping and monitoring of potholes presented at the TechFest 2018, IIT Bombay was covered by numerous print and video news media outlets. The primary objective of this research is to develop a Location Based Service(LBS) using Smartphone based Crowd-Sourcing application for: mapping and monitoring of potholes and pothole-free routing. Team wins I_Hack at E-Summit 2018

  The team won the hackathon at E-Summit 2018, IIT Bombay’s Annual Flagship Event. The team comprising of students Rajat Shinde, Pankaj Tarone, Aarif Sheikh, Aman Verma, and, Abhishek V. Potnis developed a wearable to make the visually impaired aware of their surroundings and also aid them in general activities like reading books, making sense of objects like signboards and recognizing currency notes. Team GeoSysIot presents their work at TechConnect 2017

Team Geosysiot presented their work at TechConnect exhibits during TechFest, Asia’s Largest Science and Technology Festival. It highlighted the fundamental research being carried out and the technologies developed at IIT Bombay and showcased 120+ projects from 15 Academic Units which included working models, demos, and products. Projects showcased included a mobile application for pothole mapping based on crowdsourcing of data, an embedded HPC tablet for remote sensing applications and SenseQube – a smart IoT based platform for agriculture.
